Our reaction to the truth is often one of anger.
Particularly when we don’t like what we are being made aware of …
Death for example is something we humans continue to deny with religion.
Those who don’t beleive in religious myths are often shunned upon as in the recent spate of anti-atheist and anti-secular attacks launched by the GOTP – supposedly on behalf and at the bequest of christians.
Can anyone say Holy War or Crusades?
This is merely a tactic employed often by the GOTP - divide the populace 50% – 50% and after all, the conventional wisdom says a two party system is good for our nation.
What I find frightening about all of this – is that how would we know if we couldn’t be much better with all of us humans just getting along and concentrating on what is good for everyone?!
I think we need only look at the results and clear our minds of the spin to realize the painful truth. Life is not getting better when I have to drink bottled water and turn on an air cleaner to remain healthy and survive. Or be forced to work for others yet make less than it costs to live.
I find the negative reactions to the concept of a unified world and one Government to be bizarre. But then I am reminded that we don’t often think for ourselves or step back and contemplate the merits …. others in the riling minority do that for us.
Big Brotherism is a disease we all have been infected with by the corporate owned, sponsored and managed media.
In fact we each attempt to be each others big brother and we call it freedom of speech.
So what if we lie to one another.
After all - everything we see and hear on TV is one big meatball of a lie rolled with little pieces of truth thrown in for seasoning.
We have an odd sense of freedom - allowing some humans to implicitly threaten others by open carrying firearms in public and calling it freedom.
But we all exercise our so called freedoms in similar bizarre ways that actually impinge upon the freedom of the community at large to live free. WE think free and act free – but we don’t live free.
We fight wars for freedom yet the very essence of war is void of freedom … do our young men and women want to die? How many are motivated to join the armed forces by the prospect of dying? Given the absence of other job opportunities what career choices are available as alternatives? Are soldiers just another form of forced labor in a society that subtly guides us all down the same roads decade after decade.
We don’t fight wars to live free … we fight them so that the few in power have the freedom to control humanity.
Laws make suicide illegal yet we smoke cigarettes.
Are young people who smoke therefor breaking the law?
The saying that some people will do anything to make a dime has always been the case with capitalism… except it is just a very few people who buy influence and power and they make much more than a dime!
